What we run, week to week.

After-school tuition centres

  • Two centres — Chinchpada and Ishwar Nagar, Airoli
  • Two teachers at each centre, four in total
  • 50 children in regular daily tuition; 100 across both centres overall
  • Study materials, notebooks and books provided directly
Women learning rug-making as a livelihood skill in Rabale
Livelihood

Women's skill-building groups

  • Bathroom-mat and rug-making from waste cloth, in the Rabale slum
  • Working with around 25 women and their families for four years
  • 50+ mats sold in the last two years, funding school fees and household needs
  • An entry point into financial literacy and menstrual health education
Value education session with children, using storytelling and games

  • Sports day, annual day and Republic Day celebrations
  • General knowledge quizzes, drawing and craft competitions

Three communities, one corridor of Thane & Navi Mumbai.

All of our centres and groups sit along the Thane–Navi Mumbai belt, in neighbourhoods where migrant and low-income working families make up most of the population.

Ishwarnagar, Kalwa

Second after-school education centre; site of our school-transport advocacy work.
